This event is part of the "Beyond the Tenure Track" series presented by the English Graduate Program.
Writer, editor, and publicist Kazim Ali will talk about his experience starting Nightboat Books, an independent press that started in 2004 and has since become a 501(c)3 non-profit. To date, it has published more than 130 titles of, as stated on their website, “meaningful, expressive, innovative poetry and prose.” Join us to learn how to start and grow a press; to maintain its financial livelihood with sales, donations, and grants; and to build an institutional team that allows this all to thrive.
