The Department of English is home to a robust program in Literary and Cultural Studies which covers all major historical eras from the Middle Ages to the present; a group of vibrant writing programs that engage the teaching and scholarly study of writing across different genres, modalities, and disciplines; and a Creative Writing Program with nationally and internationally recognized writers and translators who specialize in a variety of literary genres and theoretical fields.
