Lost & Found in Park Hall

Lost & Found for Park Hall is located in the English Department Main Office on the second floor, Office 254. Please see Jami Mays' page for the hours that the office is open as these change from semester to semester. If you need access to Lost & Found outside of Jami Mays' hours, please try the First Year Writing office on the first floor, Park Hall 128 -- someone is typically there from 8-5 and can let you in the office.

When you enter the main office, you should walk straight forward. Immediately next to the main office desk, there is a bookshelf that houses all of the items found in Park Hall. Water bottles are stored on the first shelf and small items (glasses, calculators, etc) are on the top of the shelf. The bottom shelf has notebooks, books, and clothing items as well as umbrellas. Additionally, there is a locked box that is only accessible during Jami Mays' hours that holds high-value items that are turned in (headphones, airpods, jewelry, keys, etc).

Items left in Lost & Found that are not retrieved will eventually be donated. If you have lost an item in Park Hall, please make a point to retrieve it. Voicemail asking about missing items will not be returned, but if you would like to email Jami Mays to ask about an item in Lost & Found, feel free: jami.mays@uga.edu

When it is time for a donation of lost & found items, you will see a wagon or cart parked in the hallway outside of Park Hall 254 along with a sign that will give an estimated timeline for when the items will no longer be available. Generally, this process happens during the last week of the month. At the end of this period, the water bottles are donated to the Office of Sustainability's Water Bottle Reclamation Initiative where they are sent to Dining Services to be washed before being redistributed to partners like the UGA Swap Shop, UGA Auto Center, and community organizations like The Backpack Project. This program saves resources through reuse and salvages items that would otherwise be landfilled.

Park Hall staff and the English Department are not responsible for lost items in the building.
