Celebrating December Graduates

December 14th, 2023 the English department held their first winter graduation ceremony. Conceived and planned by Associate Professor and Undergraduate coordinator Casie Legette, Senior Lecturer Nancee Reeves, and Humanities Internship and Career Coordinator Christine Lasek-White, this event featured ten graduates who were accompanied by over 50 friends and family members. 

English Department Head and Professor Roland Vegso gave the opening address, followed by student speaker and outgoing UEA presidnet Nina Meier. Nina's speech was meet with thunderous applause. Dr. Legette then announced the gradutes who were met with their own thunderous applause. Afterward everyone mirgrated to the Park Hall Library where they partook in food, drink, and fellowship.
