Dr. Gregg Hecimovich is a 2024-25 Hutchins Family Fellow at Harvard University and Professor of English at Furman University. He will discuss his research on the life and literary accomplishments of the formerly enslaved Hannah Bond, who signed her name Hannah Crafts, and engage in conversation with Dr. Barbara McCaskill of the English Department on the challenges and limitations of archival research on African American literature.
