Medieval on My Mind: The Past, Present, and Future of Medieval Manuscripts in the Deep South

“Medieval on My Mind: The Past, Present, and Future of Medieval Manuscripts in the Deep South.” The full-day event, which will be the semester’s Symposium on the Book, is also being supported by a Centennial Grant from the Medieval Academy of America. Featured speakers will be Jessica Brantley (Yale) and Scot Gwara (University of South Carolina). 

 

On April 5, 2025, UGA will be hosting the Spring Georgia Medieval Group Meeting. This event will be a continuation of "Medieval on My Mind,” and feature a series of panels by Georgia medievalists on medieval objects and medievalism in the South. The day will close with a keynote address from Elizabeth Pastan (Emory).
