Joe Seale is a writer and teacher from rural Alabama and is a PhD. candidate in the UGA Creative Writing Program. He received his MA from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2014 and his BA from the University of West Alabama in 2011. An author primarily of short stories, Joe is now working on his first novel, and his primary research areas are Southern and African American literature. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Red Dirt Forum, Bull + Cross, Flash Fiction Magazine, Grist, Dead MuleThe Southern TabletRed FezThe Emerson Reviewand others.
