Kristen Gleason is a writer from California. Her writing has appeared in Los Angeles Review of BooksBoston Review, BOMBA Public SpaceThe White ReviewFencePrairie Schooner, and elsewhere. Her story "Mumbai" was the 2017 winner of BOMB's Biannual Fiction Contest, and her story "The Refugee" was the winner of the 2017 North American White Review Short Story Prize. In 2016, she was selected as an A Public Space Emerging Writers Fellow. 

Recently, she was awarded a Fulbright grant to Norway for the 2018-2019 academic year.

Education:

BA in English from the University of California, Berkeley

MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana
