Kara Krewer

PhD Student

Kara Krewer is a poet from south Georgia. Before coming to UGA, she was a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University. Her chapbook, Born-Again Anything, was published by Texas Review Press (Texas A&M Consortium) in 2019, and her poems have appeared in The Georgia Review, Adroit Journal, Crab Orchard Review, and elsewhere.

She has taught courses in composition, creative writing, and film studies at Purdue, Stanford, and Interlochen Arts Camp. She has also worked at a storage center, a bottled water company, a comic book publisher, a call center, and a haunted house.
